Artist Statement

My journey as a fiber artist began in 2019, during a pivotal phase when I was drawn to a hands-on, community-focused approach to sustainable architectural design. This exploration led me to discover wool and other natural fibers, sparking a passion for felting, dyeing, sewing, and traditional crafts.

Felting, for me, is a labor of love. I enjoy combining hand stitching with felting, often losing track of time in the repetitive labor. This process fosters a meditative connection with the material and allows me to be fully present in the moment. There’s something magical about felting—the outcome is always a bit unpredictable, as no two processes are ever exactly the same. It’s a constant dance with change, influenced by temperature, time, and even mood.
